Course Overview
Welcome to Wonda’s self-paced AI Course!
The key goals of this project-based course is to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to create an AI prototype on Wonda’s platform in just 3 Modules.
In Module 1, we will cover the history of AI in order to better understand how we got to ChatGPT.
In Module 2, we will dive right into Wonda’s platform so you can apply your newfound knowledge of how AI works.
Lastly, in Module 3 we will think about curriculum design and implementation strategies to ensure your AI prototype is a success.
Technical Prerequisites
- Any computer that can access a Chrome-based browser, good internet connection (e.g., can play youtube videos), and mouse (highly recommended).
- No gaming hardware is necessary (everything runs in the browser).
Knowledge Prerequisites
- This course assumes no prior background knowledge in AI, just a willingness to tinker, experiment, and play.
Learning Objectives
Module 1: AI, the Key Fundamentals
By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- explain, at a high-level, the history of AI since the 1950s, with an emphasis on key terminology and the domains that have influenced AI
- meaningfully describe the role and influence of big data in AI advancements and identify key hardware breakthroughs that have enabled AI development
- explain the significance of Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI's GPT, and understand the capabilities of Generative AI in natural language understanding
- use the OpenAI Playground to explain the concept of tokens within the context of AI models
- meaningfully describe how ChatGPT works, understand how Large Language Models process input data, and apply this understanding to practical scenarios
Module 2: Create Your Own AI Prototype
By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- understand the advantages of web-based, no-code authoring platforms
- use prompting techniques to generate 360 skyboxes in Blockade Labs
- create digital avatars using Ready Player Me
- use advanced prompt engineering techniques to infuse AI agents with personality
- experiment and tinker with case study templates that demonstrate how to use Wonda’s AI features to solve learning problems
- deploy your AI experiences at scale by simply sharing a URL
- access the analytics dashboard and analyze engagement metrics
- download a CSV log for an individual session
Module 3: Learning Design Strategy
By the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- explain the affordances of learning managements systems
- identify high-level strategies for deploying AI experiences through an LMS
- map a learning audience and target specific needs
- best practices for playtesting
